DESCRIPTION:CONFESSIONAL SERIES II\nFour embodied poetry writing workshops Sept – Dec 2026\,\nSilk Mill West\,\nSaturdays 2-7pm\nCurated & facilitated by Rebecca Dorothy Brewin \nOur first series (April – July ’26) explored the ‘Confessional Poetry’ of the 1950’s & 60’s: a time of societal change and disillusionment when poets and artists felt a deep urge to move beyond abstraction and create from their direct experience. A shift in perception\, influencing how we see our self\, humanity and relationships today. \nIn this second series\, on the thresholds of even greater collective change\, in the face of such unknowns\, how do we find new pathways for what we seek to express? What are our modern ‘confessions’? \nAs a group of maximum 8 people\, we will continue to explore the body through movement practices and drawing; language through study of a range of writers and artists; questions on God and the planet through the lens of nature and the mystic traditions. \nAre you a writer with an interest in developing your craft as part of a unique and nurturing group? DESCRIPTION:PARKER PAINTING POSSE\nFive weekly sessions starting Tuesday November 3rd\n9.30 – 12.30\nI am inviting a small group of experienced painters to paint with me at Frome Art School in Silk Mill West on a Tuesday morning for 3 hours. \nThere will not be tuition\, the idea is that we share the space\, maybe paint a still life in front of us\, or even paint each other working away and just be a group who enjoys sharing their thoughts and methods for those few hours.  Shared energy – an open studio idea if you like.  If you want to bring something you’re working on\, that’s fine too. \nThere are a few easels at the studio\, but it may be best to bring your own.  There are tables and chairs\, a sink\, and tea/coffee in the space. \nThe space costs £75 for 3 hours so roughly if there’s 6 or 7 of us\, so I am asking for £50 per person per 5 week term\, starting 3rd November.
