BASSES GALORE!

BASSES GALORE! is a massed double bass concert to celebrate the
birthdays of Tony Osborne (70th), John Alexander (75th) and Armand
Russell (85th). An exciting programme of double bass solos and
ensembles performed by DAVE’S BASS BAND featuring 18 double bassists
from across the South-West, alongside Guest Soloists Sarah Poole
(soprano) and Derek Harris (piano).
An exciting international programme of jazzy, rhythmic and modern
idioms will include music by Tony Osborne, John Alrexander, Armand
Russell, David Heyes, Giovanni Bottesini, Simon Garcia, Teppo Hauta-aho
and Bernard Salles.

PRE-CONCERT PROMENADE – Please join us from 2.15pm onwards for an
informal programme of new music from around the world. Enjoy a glass of
wine and pre-concert snacks alongside great music. Entry is free with a
valid concert ticket.
