Following his sell-out talk in our gallery last year, Silk Mill resident David returns with an all-new show based on his latest prehistory photo project, ‘Barrowlands’.
Burial sites in the Neolithic and Bronze Ages were frequently built at inter-visible locations on hilltops and alongside rivers or springs, forming ‘ceremonial landscapes’ that may still be discerned today. David has been seeking out these forgotten ‘Barrowlands’ across Britain, creating sequences of astounding new aerial images that reveal how these sacred places related to their wider landscape, interlaced by ancient tracks – including one that skirts the base of Cley Hill.
Come and discover the wealth of ancient wonders on our doorstep through the powerful new medium of aerial photography.
Doors open at 7pm for a 7.30pm start.
Tickets £10 from this page.
Refreshments/interval bar. Signed copies of David’s book and new 2024 calendar will also be on sale.
