The Save Frome River Pathway campaign was created to protect the right of way along the river between Wallbridge and Adderwell and to prevent it from being closed off by private developers. Whilst the developers are denying any public right of way, we believe that the pathway is a right of way as of use and an integral part of Frome’s culture and community. This is a beautiful pathway with a long history and is home to many animals and plants including Otters, Kingfishers, Mugwort and Meadowsweet. The pathway has been called a ‘haven’ and a ‘sanctuary’ by local residents and has a rich and diverse ecosystem. However, the developers have already seen fit to raise the adjoining water meadow to the ground and destroy animal habitats before planning has been approved.
This exhibition showcases the work of local people and photographers who have been enjoying the path and wanted to share its beauty. Please do help us to save this pathway and maintain access for all before it is too late.
