St John’s School children come to the Silk Mill.

In the last week of term the Hassel Smith exhibition was visited by lots of Year 1 and Year 2 children from St John’s First School.  The children then went back to school and either did paintings, collages or made computer images in response to the pictures.  The pictures were supposed to be abstract even if they started from a non-abstract beginning.  They were asked to reference the pictures in the gallery in some way in each picture.  The exhibition is on until 28th July 2011.
